Teresa Pereda (Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1956) is a visual artist and researcher. She received a BA in Art History at the Faculty of Arts UBA. Studied painting at Ana Eckell and Estela Pereda workshops. Research worker at the Diplomatura Universitaria en Educación Intercultural project of the Universidad Nacional 3 de febrero (UNTREF) she’s made 25 solo exhibitions at home and abroad.
Earth elements are used in the construction of an aesthetic that explores the man-land relationship. In 1995 she began the systematic collection of land from various regions of the Argentina. Fruit of these trips and investigations she started the series Itinerary of Four Lands (installations, artist books, paintings, graphic works, objects and videos).
The Banff Center for the Arts, Canada, awarded her a grant to join “Intra-nation”: thematic residency in Media and Visual Arts (May- June 2004).
